Illusion is the first of all pleasures.
Last Friday, it was freezing cold and rainy and everyone on the streets making their way to work had their game face on. They just wanted to be inside where it's warm and where they can finally take off this winter jacket that ought to have been drycleaned and sent off to storage. Brows furrowed, feet ready to sprint at the light, everyone is thinking where is that gorgeous spring weather we ordered. Everyone that is, but two -- the first is a down on his luck street wise peddler who says with the jolly of a santa in the off season: Smile! It's warm already. The other is a midlle-aged man in pin-striped suit practicing his golf swing with his soaked umbrella while waiting for the green light to cross.
The mind is such a powerful thing. It has the ability to overcome great odds or undermine brilliance.
