You will find these stone carvings on the pillars that welcome you to the tomb of the most hated emperor in Vietnam. I treasure most the feel of the crevices that make the ornate shapes. You can find plenty of these in museums but here out in the open sun dismissed as old and unimportant I run my hands through the surface hoping to channel the craftsmanship of artists long gone into my own. I particularly love the cloud themes.
