In a few weeks my family is heading back to the Islands to celebrate my brother's wedding. We have much to do to get ready. This is what I find framed by the doorway as I was leaving after visiting them last weekend. This photo says a lot about my Mom and me. In a nutshell it is this: I knew you wouldn't be ready so I went ahead and packed for you. The potted plant however cushions the jab of criticism of the luggage as it represents her hope that I will not kill yet another house plant that she grew from cutlings for me. That's my Mom. So critical, but so sweet. I love that about her.
